STEP ONE: pricing

If you haven't done so, please check out the prices page for information about sizing, pricing, and what's included with the base prices.

Many hours go into each highly detailed drawing. Only high end professional quality paper, pencils, and fixatives are used to ensure your portrait will last for years to come.

If you would like to place a custom order please contact me for a quote.

If you are interested in having archival prints made of your drawing for an additional fee please let me know.

STEP TWO: choose a photo

Providing a good quality photo is essential if you want a detailed drawing. Choosing the photo you would like drawn can be puzzling, so here are a few tips:

*High resolution digital photographs sent from your phone or computer are preferred.

*The clearer the better! Make sure the photo is in focus, has good lighting, and is not blurred.

*Close ups showing a lot of detail are great.

*Photos taken by a professional are wonderful, just make sure you have the photographer's permission to use their photo.

*If you can't decide, send me a few different photos and I would be happy to give my opinion on which one will work best.

I understand that in some cases a clear photo is not attainable. If you are only able to submit a low quality photo and understand the drawing will not be highly detailed, I am happy to draw it for you.

If you place an order for a drawing that will be made using multiple photos of your loved ones, I do my best to make the composition look realistic. A sample photo of what your drawing might look like is emailed to you for approval before your drawing is started.

These two pictures are great to use for a drawing. They are clear and fine details can be seen.

STEP THREE: submit your photo

Submit your photo/photos through email or Facebook message. Please also include:

*if you want your drawing to be in graphite or colored pencil

*size preference...5x7 inch, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, or custom

*Graphite portraits will be drawn on white paper. If you have a paper color preference other than white for a colored pencil drawing, please let me know. Colors available are gray, tan, cream, blue, yellow, and black

As soon as your order is received you will be added to my list. If you need your drawing done by a specific date please let me know.

STEP FOUR: I create your drawing!

I am happy to send progress pictures of your drawing while I'm creating it, just ask! Your portrait will be drawn on flat professional acid free cotton paper. The pencils I use are of the highest quality and are very lightfast which means your drawing won't fade over time. The drawing process takes a week to two weeks depending on how much detail is in the photo, number of subjects, and size of the drawing. When I'm close to completion I will send a picture of the artwork to you for approval. At this point I will ask if anything needs to be fixed. My goal is that you are 100% satisfied!

STEP FIVE: payment and shipping

After your final approval of the drawing I will ask for payment.

Please let met know if you would like to order prints of your drawing as well.

A secure PayPal link will be sent to you. There is an option for you to pay with a credit card if you don't have a PayPal account. If you prefer to send a check in the mail, that is an option as well. After payment is received I will carefully package and ship your artwork.

It is always such an honor when a client puts their trust in me to create a drawing for themselves or a loved one!
